Jermaine Rocacorba
As Policy Manager, Jermaine Rocacorba works closely to advance PANA’s community-driven mission and goals. She supports PANA's policy advocacy at the federal, state, and local levels. Jermaine has over eight years of advocacy supporting immigrants, including co-founding the development of Pag-Asa Law Clinic (PLC), PLC is a nonprofit organization in San Diego that seeks to support immigrants and undocumented individuals while working within the intersections of people impacted by domestic violence and housing issues within the Filipino community and beyond. Jermaine’s work experience is expansive from working in San Diego City Council, student affairs/higher education, and the nonprofit realm.
Jermaine was born in the Philippines and immigrated to the United States at the age of seven years old. Jermaine’s family immigrated to the United States in hopes to give her and her siblings a better education. She graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelors in Communication and a minor in Organizational Leadership, as well as a Masters of Education in Student Development Administration from Seattle University.
As a proud “ate” (big sister, in Tagalog), her values of developing a more compassionate, just, and humane world inform her advocacy and connections with people.
